John W. Ziegler

LANDISBURG John W. "Ziggy" Ziegler, 70, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in his home. John was born July 10, 1942, in Dover, to the late John M. and Romaine Z. (Neiman) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonita Ziegler. He was originally from Saginaw, York County. He was a retired truck driver for Kinsley Construction, York, and had also been employed for Kinard Trucking and Georgia Pacific. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, whom he wed on July 20, 1963, Sally Ann (Doll) Ziegler; three children, Lori Lindberg of Landisburg, Christine Emig and her husband, Christopher of Dover, and John Ziegler and his wife, Holly of Landisburg; his aunt, Janet Neiman of York; seven grandchildren, Justin Wolf, Zachery Wolf, Macey Lindberg, Mitchell Lindberg, Clayton Ziegler, Tad Ziegler, and Tucker Ziegler; and a great-grandson, Gavin Wolf. He was friends for over 40 years with Rena and Larry Miller and Sandy and Joe Walker, and he always said my farmer friend, Lamar Horst. A time of Remembrance for family and friends will be held at his home on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from noon to 4 p.m. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Carlisle Regional Medical Center Cancer Center and Celtic Hospice for all of the kindness they have shown to John and his family. Arrangements are being handled by the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville 17047.
