Jon P. Eby

YORK Jon P. Eby, 77, died Thursday, September 12, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of V. Jo (Gingerich) Eby. Mr. and Mrs. Eby observed their 15th wedding anniversary in February 2013. Jon was born in York, on December 26, 1935, a son of the late Benjamin and Estella (Milligan) Eby. He was a retired sales manager for Keystone Ford Truck Sales. Jon was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Cold War with the Army Security Agency. He also served with the Spring Garden Township Zoning Board for over 10 years. His Masonic affiliations include White Rose Lodge #706 F&AM, York Forest #30 Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Scottish Rite Club, High Twelve Club, and the Square Club. In addition to his wife, Jon is survived by two daughters, Lynn Keeny and husband, Scott of Stewartstown, and Susan Murog and husband, Alex of Jacobus; a son, Greg Eby and wife, Marilou of San Jose, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Lauren and Alice Keeny, Max, Ross and Jack Murog, and Michael and Mark Eby. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jake Eby; a sister, Nan Stover; and a brother, Benjamin Eby. A Masonic service will be provided by White Rose Lodge #706 F&AM at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery with graveside military rites provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
