Kathleen Kupets "Kathy" Gauthier

Gauthier CENTERVILLE, MD Kathleen "Kathy" Kupets Gauthier, 66, passed peacefully into the gentle arms of God on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at her daughter's home in Glen Rock. Kathy fought a courageous battle with cancer. She enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day surrounded by her family. Kathy was born in Pittsburgh, on October 2, 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Leoda Kupets. She is survived by her son, John Gauthier of Florida; daughter, Dr. Stacey Robert and husband, Jeffrey of Glen Rock; and daughter, Melissa Sidebottom and husband, Jeffrey of Centerville, Md. In addition, she is survived by her beloved grandchildren, Emma and Chase Robert, and Jeffrey, Jr., Rylee, and Hunter Sidebottom. Kathy graduated from Cherry Hill High School, Cherry Hill, N.J., in 1964 and the University Of Maryland School Of Pharmacy in 1985. She worked as a hospital pharmacist in a variety of places, most recently at Easton Hospital. Kathy enjoyed playing bridge, going to the beach, traveling, being active in her Symphony Village community, crocheting, and anything to do with chocolate. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, Viewings will take place at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. in Glen Burnie, Md., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. To celebrate Kathy's life, there will be a funeral mass presided by Father Mike Murphy and Father Sylvan Capitani at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Severn, Md., at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 31.
