Kevin L. Hake

RED LION Kevin L. Hake, 53, passed away at his home on Friday, November 9, 2012, with his loving family and faithful canine Maggie by his side. Born August 11, 1959, in York, he was the son of the late Kenneth F. Hake Sr. and Ferne O. (Snyder) Hake. A service to celebrate the life of Kevin will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Austin H.. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown with Pastor Harold "Butch" Snyder officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Kevin is survived by a brother, Kenneth F. Hake Jr. of Red Lion; two sisters, Cynthia "Sis" Cooper of Red Lion and Joanne Brant of Dallastown; nieces and nephews, Wendy S. Tawney, Michelle L. Williams, Tiffany Glatfelter, Dru Hake, Nicole Cooper, Megan Farling and Cole Brant; three great-nephews and four great-nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Vincent Hake. A graduate of Red Lion High School, Kevin was employed in the Maintenance Department at the Red Lion Area School District for more than 30 years and took great pride in his work, really enjoying the students. Prior to that he was employed by Guildcraft. Kevin loved spending time with his family and really liked large family gatherings. He was always doing something for someone else before doing something for himself and never wanted anything in return. Kevin was very meticulous and loved taking care of his home, his yard and flowers. Kevin also enjoyed traveling to Florida. The family has suggested that rather than flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin's name be made to the SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
