Lerene I. Murray

WRIGHTSVILLE Lerene I. Scantling Murray, 83, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2013, from Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy. Lerene was born in Wrightsville, a daughter of the late Harry Scantling and the late Viola (Renoll) Quinn. She retired from Donegal Industries in Mt. Joy, she previously had worked for the former Little Prince Sewing Factory in Columbia. She was a barmaid at the Flying Dutchman in Wrightsville for 15 years. There will be no viewing. A graveside service will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013, at the Wrightsville Cemetery with Pastor Randy W. Panebaker officiating. She is survived by three daughters, Rose Murray Staner and husband, Steven, of Wrightsville, Melodie Murray McDonald and husband, Patrick, of Wrightsville, and Sandra Murray Gosnell of Columbia; four grandchildren, Jack Martin and companion, Brenda Grieder, Dr. Pamela Martin, Frank R. Mapstone, wife Jacquelyn, and Gordon E. Wilson; eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey Martin, Shaylyn Martin, Landon Mapstone, Lance Brubaker, Kahle Wilson, Matthew Idoeta, Owen Idoeta, and Isabelle Idoeta; and a great-great-grandson, Timothy Carelock, Jr. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry C.
