Linda M. Shellenberger

YORK Linda M. (Arnold) Shellenberger, 63, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, at the York Hospital. She was the wife of Charles M. Shellen-berger, with whom she celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on October 20th. Mrs. Shellenberger was born in York on June 4, 1949, daughter of the late Jack and Florence (Hussey) Arnold. She was employed as a cashier in the lawn and garden department of Walmart, East York, from which she retired. Previously she was employed at York Tape and Label for over ten years. She was a member of the Shiloh Legion Women's Auxiliary Post 791, and was an avid bowler. Linda is survived by three children, Tonia L. Burns of York, Reginald A. Godfrey of Pittsburgh, and Ryan F. Godfrey and his wife, Allison of York; six grandchildren, Jana M. Purvis, James B. Burns, Lily N. Nugent, Riley J. Godfrey, Aidan J. Godfrey, and Cooper B. Godfrey. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Officiating will be Pastor Ron Oelrich. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Dover Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
