Marjorie Anderson Yost

STEWARTSTOWN Marjorie Anderson Yost, 79, died Friday, October 18, 2013, at her home. She was the wife of Donald H. Yost. The couple celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on June 23, 2013. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from Centre Presbyterian Church, 83 New Park Road, New Park, with the Rev. James L. Biller officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Born August 31, 1934, in Dallastown, Marjorie was the daughter of the late James M. and Jean F. (Sechrist) Anderson. Marjorie was a 1952 graduate of Stewartstown High School and a 1956 graduate of Dickinson College. Marjorie was employed as a school teacher at both Delta and Stewartstown Elementary Schools. She was a board member and past president of the Mason-Dixon Public Library in Stewartstown. Marjorie was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church and the D.A.R. She was an avid Bridge player. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Ann E. Yost and her husband, Gerald W. Lucas of Stewartstown, and Sarah Y. Hedin and her husband, Paul E., Jr. of Lewisberry; and five grandchildren, Christopher Y. Hedin, Rebecca Y. Hedin, Paul E. Hedin, III, Emma Y. Lucas, and Nora Y. Lucas. In Marjorie's memory, contributions may be made to Mason-Dixon Public Library, 250 Bailey Drive, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
