Nancy B. Walton

YORK Nancy B. Walton, 88, of West Manchester Township, died at 6:58 p.m. Tuesday at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late John H. Walton, Jr. Born June 29, 1925, in York, a daughter of the late Belden H. and Louise (McClure) Briggs, she was a 1943 graduate of William Penn High School. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, York Chapter #169, Order of the Eastern Star, Dr. J.M. Hyson Memorial Court #106, Order of the Amaranth, and Yorktowne Cedarettes, York Forest #30, Tall Cedars of Lebanon. She was also Mother Advisor and Advisory Board Member of York Assembly #92, Rainbow Girls. Mrs. Walton is survived by a daughter, Debra S. Sheaffer and her husband Ray, of York; four grandchildren, Chris Sheaffer, Scott Sheaffer, Ashley Walton, and Jessica Walton; and two great-grandchildren, Alexa and Caylee Sheaffer. She was also preceded in death by a son, John B. Walton; and a brother, Rodney M. Briggs. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Faith United Church of Christ, 509 Pacific Avenue, with her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Oelrich officiating. Visitation will be 10 to 10:45 a.m. with an Eastern Star service beginning at 10:45 a.m. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S.
