YORK Nancy L. (Hess) Eaton 77, formerly of Red Lion, passed unexpectedly from natural causes on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Brunswick at Longstown. She was the wife of James M. Eaton who entered into rest on July 1, 2005. Born in Dallastown on November 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Elsie May (Cunningham) Hess. Nancy worked as a seamstress at Danskin retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa J. Schaeberle and husband Robert of Red Lion; two sons, Todd K. Eaton and wife Cindy of York and Marty L. Eaton of York; three grandchildren, Spencer Schaeberle of Red Lion, Anthony "Tony" Billet and wife Kayla, and Lindsay Billet, both of York; two great-grandchildren, Pyta Billet and Port Billet, both of York. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn D. (Hess) Sheffer. Viewing will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. A Service of Honor and Praise for Nancy will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Lenore Hosier officiating. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to: Brunswick at Longstown Activity Fund, 2830 Carol Rd., York, PA 17402. Nancy adored camping trips with her husband by the river. She was an avid reader and enjoyed word finds. She loved going to yard sales and antique stores. She also enjoyed watching football, baseball, and NASCAR. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
