Norman R. Aldinger Jr.

YORK Norman R. Aldinger,Jr., 51, passed on Friday, August 16, 2013, at his home. He was the husband of Frieda M. (Cooper) Aldinger with whom he shared three and a half years of marriage. Born on January 25, 1962, in York, he was the son of the late Marcella (Almoney) and Norman R. Aldinger, Sr. He was a mill bagger for over twenty years with the Quarry in West York, worked for seventeen years for Three-Fold Janitorial Services at H&H Castings, and most recently for Brickers Famous Fries. Norm, as he was fondly known, belonged to the V.F.W. Post 556,the 9th Ward Social Club, 12th Ward Democratic Social Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles 183, and was a "regular" at the Spring Garden Tavern. He is survived by his wife Frieda Aldinger of York; a brother Vincent Aldinger and wife Tammy of West York; a mother-in-law, Edith and husband Charles "Jake" Lehman; a close neighbor and friend, Richard Moyer, all of York; and close friend Ivy Loop of Red Lion; and a host of family and friends. Services are at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may sent in care of the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York, Pa.17403, to help defray costs.
