Paul H. Chronister

RED LION Paul H. Chronister, 80, died at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services Dallastown. He was the husband of Betty J. (Paff) Chronister, with whom he celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2012. There will be no viewing. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, January 11, at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. The service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with his pastor, the Rev. Cathy H. Sherry, officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mr. Chronister was born June 13, 1932, in York, and was the son of the late Ray M. and Ethel (Schmuck) Chronister. He was a bricklayer with Glen E. Brenneman, Inc. in Spring Grove, a member of Mount Zion U.C.C., and a life member of both the Hawk Gunning Club and the Thirteenth Ward Political Club. Mr. Chronister is survived by his wife; two daughters, Beth Miles and husband, Tom of Dover, and Rebecca Innerst and husband, Dean of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Shawn, Ashley, Paul, and Sarah; four great-granddaughters; and a brother, Dale Chronister of Red Lion.
