Paul H. Honsermyer Jr.

Honsermyer, Jr. DOVER Paul H. Honsermyer, Jr., 90, entered into rest at 7:43 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Country Meadows. He was the husband of the late Mary E. (Stein) Honsermyer. Born June 2, 1922 in York, he was a son of the late Paul H. Honsermyer, Sr. and Helen (Sipe) Honsermyer. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a truck driver for P.A.&S. Small Trucking in York. Paul had attended Dover Bethany U.M. Church and was a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791 and West Manchester VFW Post 7374. He is survived by a son, Paul H. Honsermyer III and wife, Theresa of Dover; two daughters, Linda L. Hitchcock and husband, Dan of Chevy Chase, Md., and Judy H. Rasor of Orlando, Fla.; a step-daughter, Jean I. Talmadge; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step-granddaughter. In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a step-son, Charles H. Romich. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Paul's funeral at 12 noon and the viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, November 23, 2012, at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Suburban Memorial Gardens where veteran's honors will be presented by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie Whittier, pastor of Christ U.C.C. in Jefferson.
