Raymond H. LeCates Jr.

LeCates, Jr. YORK Raymond H. LeCates, Jr., 86, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday at the York County Nursing Home. He was the husband of Cecelia R. (Heindel) LeCates, who died October 5, 1997 and to whom he was married for 49 years. Born July 8, 1926, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Raymond H. and Virginia M. (Gerber) LeCates. He was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII serving with the 71st Infantry. He retired from York International after 42 years of service. Mr. LeCates is survived by his daughter, Ruth L. Holt of Columbia, Md.; two sons, Raymond H. "Skip" LeCates, III, and his wife Deborah, and Jeffrey L. LeCates, all of York; two grandchildren, Janice K. Maslow and Christopher Holt; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Byron H. LeCates and Edward R. LeCates, both of York. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert M. LeCates and William B. LeCates. Funeral services will be private. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S.
