THE VILLAGES, FL Richard C. House, 75, of The Villages, Fla., passed October 28, 2013, with his wife and daughters by his side. He was born to Arvin and Claudette House on August 20, 1938 in Reading. He retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief in 1976 after a twenty-year military career. Throughout his post military retirement, he pursued his love of art as a freelance artist and instructor at The Mitchel School of Fine Arts of Maryland and York Art Association in York. He resided in Stewartstown until retiring to The Villages, Fla. with his wife Pat. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patricia Ann House; daughter, Aimee Viola and spouse Frank and granddaughters Torre, Taylor and Tommi Viola; daughter, Wendie Palko and spouse David and granddaughters Nicole, Melanie, and Kellie Palko.; brothers Arvin, Donald, and Dean House; and sister, Jacqueline Sychterz. He was predeceased by sisters Janet Ciatto and Joyce Cratil. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends that Richard held very dear to his heart.
