Richard D. Enders

ORTANNA Richard D. "Dick" Enders, 83, died on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 12:50 a.m. at his residence. He was the husband of Norma J. (Kinard) Enders with whom he celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on February 3, 2012. There will be no viewing. Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York, a visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday at Fourth U.M. Church, located at the corner of E. Market and N. Lehman Sts. in York. A Memorial Service will follow at 12 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Austin Chinault II, pastor of Cashtown/McKnightstown Charge of the United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Mr. Enders was born November 19, 1928, in York County, the son of the late John G. and Levenia I. (Bixler) Enders. He was retired after 26 years as a York City police officer, a graduate of William Penn H.S Class of ' 46, coordinator of the Mount Rose Reunion, member of York White Rose Lodge # 15 FOP and numerous social clubs in York. Mr. Enders is survived by his wife; two daughters, Gayle Rudicille and husband, John and Susan Brown, all of York; three sons, Richard Enders and wife, Jeannie of Dover, John Enders and wife, Judy of York and Steve Enders of Thomasville; six grandsons; four great-grandsons; and a stepdaughter, Joni Knudson of York. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nanette E. Bury. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Patient Help Fund, c/o York Health Foundation, 912 S.
