Robert A. Lehr

YORK Robert A. "Bumper Bob" Lehr, 86, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the York Hospital. Robert was born in York, January, 9, 1927, son of the late Wade H. Lehr, Sr. and Mary S. (Hoopes) Lehr. He retired as a manager for the former Bethlehem Steel Ship Yardand was a Navy WWII Veteran. Robert was a member of the West York VFW and the Masonic Lodge of Towson, Md. Survivors include one daughter, Vicki S. Frantz and her husband, Mark of Maryland; three sons, Stephen G. Lehr, of York, Richard H. Lehr and his wife, Robin of Virginia, and Robert G. Lehr of Camp Hill; six grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; and several niece and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy L. Leber, two brothers, Wade H. Lehr, Jr., William G. Lehr; and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held at Greenmount Cemetery, 721 Carlisle Ave., York, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. with full military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Please meet at the front gate entrance by 12:45 p.m. if attending. Officaiting will be Rev. Thomas D. Bellis. Arrangements were entrusted to the Leroy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh).
