SPRING GROVE Robert Allen Zorbaugh, 81, passed away at home with his family by his side at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2013. He was the loving husband of Helen R. (Nace) Zorbaugh. Together they shared over 61 years of marriage. Bob was born in N. Codorus Township on February 29, 1932. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Mary (Harrold) Zorbaugh. He attended Spring Grove High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. Bob worked for P.H. Glatfelter Co. in Spring Grove as paper inspector in quality control and retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Spring Grove, where he previously served on the finance committee, Spring Grove Fire Co. and Ambulance Club, Spring Grove Historical and Preservation Society and the P.H. Glatfelter Quarter Century Club. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing at the shore with his family, and working around his home in the lawn and gardens. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing many courses in the area along with many trips to Myrtle Beach Golf Resorts with his friends. In addition to his wife Helen, he is survived by daughters, Elizabeth A. Artz and husband Brian of York, and Kim M. Bisconti and husband Christian of Shillington; his son, Robert B. Zorbaugh and wife Stacy of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Lindsey M. Kopp of New York and Benjamin A. Bisconti of Shillington; and his step-grandchildren, Andrew Artz of State College and Adam Artz of York. He is also survived by his brother, Sidney Zorbaugh and wife Barbara of York; his sisters-in-law, Viola Zorbaugh of Spring Grove, Joann Harrold and husband Charles of York, Barbara Senft and husband Richard of Jefferson, and Marilyn Nace of Baltimore and Cambridge Md. Following cremation, a memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, with the Rev. Daniel V. Biles III officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Roth's Church Cemetery in Spring Grove, with military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
