Ruth A. Flemmens

YORK Ruth Anna (Taylor) Flemmens, 95, died Friday, October 12, 2012, at Manor Care Kingston Court. She was the wife of the late George F. Flemmens. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Chaplin Wesley Mast, of Heartland Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Glen Rock. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ruth was born on January 15, 1917, in Codorus Township, and was a daughter of the late Spurgeon M. and Sarah (Krebs) Taylor. She was employed as a Retail Sales and Office employee at The Little White House, formerly of S. Queen St., York, for 14 years. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church of York and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church Starview, Spry. She leaves two daughters, Mary Jo Schmidt and her husband, Lewis of York, and Janet Rae Burns and her husband, Richard of Baltimore, Md.; one son, Frank William Flemmens and his wife, Phyllis of Red Lion; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
