Sandra L. Johnston

Sandra L. Johnston WRIGHTSVILLE Sandra L. (Muir) Johnston, 67, entered into rest on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center in New Jersey. Born in Mt. Pleasant on October 10, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Yezek) Muir. Sandra worked as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital. She was also the owner and operator of Creekside Stables in Wrightsville. She is survived by a son, Larry C. Johnston of Jackson, N.J. and his wife, Beverly; two grandsons, Owen C. and Dylan T. Johnston; and a brother, John R. Muir, Jr. of Sacramento, Calif. There will be a viewing Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by cremation. Pastor Dan Brindley, of CrossPoint Baptist Church in Farmingdale, N.J., will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Pa., at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be offered to: York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N., York PA 17406; or to Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, 8272 Woodbine Road, Airville, PA 17302. Sandra had a passion for cooking. She loved all animals especially her dogs, cats, and riding horses. She also enjoyed being part of the Appalachian Wagon Train and will always be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
