Walter R. Henry

YORK Walter R. Henry, 81, of York Township, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services South. He was the husband of the late Lana A. (Fegley) Henry. Born December 24, 1931, in York, a son of the late Walter E.and Anne (Strine) Henry, he was retired as the Industrial Relations Director of the Manufacturers Association of South Central Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Saint Matthew Lutheran Church and Dallastown American Legion Post #605, and also served on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army. Mr. Henry is survived by a son, Stephen M. Henry and his wife, Lora of York; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Dolmetsch and her husband, Scott of Seven Valleys; and three grand daughters, Jessica and Carolyne Henry, and Abigail Dolmetsch. Private funeral services are scheduled for at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, with his Pastor, The Rev. Kevin T. Shively, officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. King St., York, PA 17401; or to Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, PA 17401.
