William B. Myers Jr.

SEVEN VALLEYS William B. "Bill" Myers, Jr., 84, entered into rest on Thursday evening, June 20, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Janet R. (Weaver) Myers for 59 years. Bill was born March 6, 1929, in York, the son of the late William B. Myers, Sr. and Beatrice M. (Folkemer) Myers. He was a graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill and his brother owned and operated Myers Pharmacy on W. Market St. in York for many years. He was a member of Union Lutheran Church and a member of the York County Pharmaceutical Association. A visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York, with a Flag Presentation by The York County Veterans Honor Guard at 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow officiated by his pastor, the Rev. Judith McKee. Burial will be private in Greenmount Cemetery. In addition to his wife, Janet, Bill is survived by five children, Nancy Myers and her husband, Lee of York, Joan Herbst and her husband, Jake of Seven Valleys, Diane Grignano and her husband, Joe of Seven Valleys, Bryan Myers and his wife, Chris of Spring Grove, and Bradd Myers of York; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Amber, Kelly, Breann, Andrea, Morgan, and Tony; and six great-grandchildren, Cori, Kali, Kamrin, Jaden, Ava, and Jack. A brother, Frank Myers, and a sister, Elaine Myers, preceded Bill in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Union Lutheran Church, 408 W.
