William C. Harmon

LANCASTER William "Bill" C. Harmon passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013. Bill was formerly married to Edna M. Williams of Mount Joy. Born March 14, 1942, in Milford, Del., he was the son of the late Isaiah Shockley and the late Madeline (Harmon), wife of the late Rev. Walter F. Ellis. He lived in Lancaster County and retired from Armstrong Floor Plant in Lancaster. Mr. Harmon was a long time member of Brightside Baptist Church, where he was an organist. Surviving are one daughter, Billa R. (Harmon), married to William L. Jamison of York; four grandchildren, Marino, Shawnell, Lavar, and Isaiha; goddaughter, Lisa Shckley-Smith; and a host of family and friends. A musical funeral service will be held at Brightside Baptist Church, 515 Hershey Ave., Lancaster 17603 on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Louis A. Butcher, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. There will be a viewing Sunday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 121 S. Prince St., Lancaster 17603 and on Monday at the church between 10 and 11 a.m.
