William D. Wiley Sr.

YORK William D. Wiley, Sr., 78, entered into rest Tuesday September 10, 2013, at the home of his daughter. He was the husband of Yvonne J. (Ward) Wiley for 58 years. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church 2935 Kingston Rd. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Rev. Zenon Maszczyk OFM Cap as celebrant. Burial will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Baltimore, Md. The John W. Kefffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., is assisting the family. Mr. Wiley was born May 28, 1935, in Baltimore, a son of the late Francis Wiley and Anna D. (Buchacz) Wiley LaPlant. He retired as a supervisor with Air Products and Praxair. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. William is survived by his wife; children, William D. Wiley, Jr. and his wife, Theresa, Charles F. Wiley and his wife, Mary, Jane Oberdick and her husband, David and George S. Wiley and his wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, William D. Wiley, III, Angela Wiley, Michelle L. Powell and her husband Casey, Christin A. Bair and her husband, Nicholas, Jesse D. Beinhower and his wife, Kallie, Aaron J. Wiley, Jacob Wiley, Michael Wiley, Patrick Wiley, Tabitha Martin and her husband, Jon, Ross Oberdick, Lars and Jessica Johanson, Christopher Wiley, and Destini Wiley; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Brown; and a brother, Buddy Wiley.
