Frances E. Leib

RED LION Frances E. (Wilt) Leib, 91, formerly of West York, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 9, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Charles H. Leib. The couple observed their 68th wedding anniversary on August 18, 2012. She was born in York on February 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Melvin and Lilly (Smyser) Wilt. Frances was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in York. She was a pianist and was a member of the church choir for over 50 years. She was employed as a medical assistant for the late Dr. Smith in West York. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Rebecca S. Leib Bilby and her husband Bob of Lutherville, Md., and her son, Bill Leib and his fiance Shari of York; she is also survived by four grandchildren, Melissa Freeman and her husband Steve of Hampstead, Md., Jonathan Bilby of Lutherville, Md., Trevan Leib and Aaron Leib both of Dallastown. A service to celebrate the life of Frances will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with her Pastor, Brenda J. Ferree officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment to follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.
