Mindy C. Knox, 47, passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 22, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Michael E. Sunday, her partner and husband for 30 years.
Mindy was born August 1, 1969 in York, the daughter of Raeanne (Gladfelter) Stump of New Oxford, and Jeffrey and Vickie Stump of York.
Mindy raised peafowl and was an active participant on the Peafowl Forum. She loved animals and gardening, and was employed by Community Service Group for 20 years, where she was a supervisor of a group home.
In addition to her parents and husband Mike, Mindy is survived by a son, Dylan M. Sunday of New Oxford; and a sister, Marcy B. Jennings and her husband, AJ of North Laurel, MD.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19111 or to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, is in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.

Mike I was one of Mindys buyer of those beautiful white peacock feathers and I was looking her up on line to do more business until I saw her obituary. So sad to hear of this especially 11 months later. She was an awesome person always getting me what I needed. Prayers for you man

Mike and Dylan, I am so sad for your loss, no words can express what you must feel. I met Mindy online . I do know Mindy as a kind, caring person who is willing to help a stranger such as , myself in the backyard chickens group who so desperately needed help with peafowls in distress, I will never forget all she has done to help my birds. Mike and Dylan, I am so sorry for your loss. Mindy was a good internet friend of mine from the Peafowl Forum on Back Yard Chickens. We conversed frequently and I considered her my mentor as well. I had been fearing the worst when she quit returning my messages the last few months. She helped me and many others in the caring and raising of peafowl, she sent eggs to me once for hatching. I even named the sweet bird after her. I will never forget the kind, caring, and generous person she was.
