NEW FREEDOM Brian S. Holloway, 44, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md. He was the husband of Judy A. (Miller) Holloway. The couple would have celebrated 18 years of marriage in October 2014. Viewings will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 15 at the Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16 at the Assembly with the Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Freeland, Md. Born December 14, 1969, in York, Brian was the son of Kay M. (Bollinger) Malone of Shrewsbury and the late Thomas V. Holloway. Brian earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Loyola University in Baltimore, Md. He worked for Catholic Charities of Baltimore in Timonium, Md., for more than 16 years as an accountant. Brian was a National Guard Veteran, and was a member of New Freedom V.F.W. Post 7012. Brian enjoyed being the coach to his children's soccer and basketball teams. In addition to his wife and mother, Brian is survived by his six children, Eli G., Jackson T., Nolan W., Nicholas C., Ava C., and Jenna C. Holloway; a brother, Troy M. Holloway and his wife, Laura of Shrewsbury; a stepfather, Larry P. Malone of New Freedom; and a step grandfather, Bill C. Zentz. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, George M. and Mary Ellen Miller of Manchester, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holloway Education Fund, 29 Timbershed Court, Freeland, MD 21053. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, is in charge of arrangements.
