FELTON Charles F. Robinson, 83, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Diana D. (Wolford) Robinson to whom he was married for 30 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 251 E. Main St., Dallastown, with the Rev. John A. McClosky OFM Cap officiating. Viewings will be held from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday at the Church. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born September 13, 1930, in Watervliet, N. Y., a son of the late Charles N. and Frances E. (Schumacher) Robinson, he earned his undergraduate Civil Engineering Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Master's in Civil Engineering from Princeton University. Mr. Robinson served 28 years in the U.S. Navy during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He served during the Tet Offensive in Vietnam and was part of the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion, better known as the "Seabees." Mr. Robinson retired from the U.S. Navy in 1975 with the rank of Captain. He then worked at Fox Pools in York as Executive Vice-President with over 15 years of service. Charles was a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of New York and had also been a faculty member at the U.S. Naval Academy. He was a very active and dedicated member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and volunteered at Manor Care Dallastown. In addition to his wife, Mr. Robinson is survived by three sons, Scott and wife Linda Robinson of Ocean Pines, Md., Mark and wife Sonia Robinson of Orlando, Fla., and David Robinson of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a daughter, D. Pilar Robinson and husband Nelson Outten of Davidsonville, Md.; a step son, Del Etter of Felton; a step daughter, Denna and husband Billy Chivers of Felton; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Dana and wife Esther Wolford and Gerald Sullivan; and five former daughters-in-law, Gigi, Madeline, Stacy, Debbie and Star. He was preceded in death by his first wife, June (Prue) Robinson; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Sullivan; and his mother-in-law, Doris Wintermyer.
