YORK Earl L. Lehman, Jr., passed away at 7:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Manor Care Kingston Court. Mr. Lehman was born September 6, 1927, in Mount Wolf and was the son of the late Earl and Lottie (Loucks) Lehman. He worked for New York Wire Cloth in Mount Wolf for over 30 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Susquehanna V.F.W. Post 2493 in Mount Wolf. Earl was a great fan of Fishing, Baseball and Hockey. Mr. Lehman proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Lehman is survived by his two sisters, Amelia Swartz and her husband, Stewart of York and Eva Murphy of Manchester; four nephews, David Swartz and his wife, Deb, Jeffrey Swartz and his wife, Brenda, Todd Swartz and his wife, Carla and Brad Swartz; and three nieces, Karen Updegraff and her husband Ken, Lana Hollinger and her husband Terry and Alicia Hess and her husband Dale. Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte Ernst. Service and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mount Wolf.
