GIBSONIA George Henry Miller, 90, formerly of Elma, N.Y., passed away on March 26, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Ruth L. Johnston Miller for 64 years; dear father of George "Art" (Ellen) Miller of Peoria, Ariz, and Susan (George) Fortman of Gibsonia; loving grandfather to four granddaughters and five great-grandchildren; brother of Pauline Rhinehart and Ruth Lehr, both of York, and the late Lois Kieffer of Erie. George was born September 12, 1922, in Dover. He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII and Guadalcanal Pacific Arena, was a Purple Heart Recipient, an active member of Elma VFW 5861 and Marine Corps League. He attended Penn State University and retired from Georgen-Mackwirth Co., Buffalo, where he worked as a Mechanical/ Sales Engineer and a member of Sheet Metal AC National Assn. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, East Aurora, the Elma Senior Citizens and the N.R.A. Funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Paul A. Kloc Blossom Chapels, Inc., 4680 Clinton St., West Seneca, N.Y. Sentiment may be made to Spring Brook Volunteer Fire Co., Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pine St., East Aurora; or the in memory of George.
