MT. LEBANON George Webster McCormack, 46, died Saturday, November 30, 2013, at his home in Mt. Lebanon. He was born on January 11, 1967, to D. James and Janet (Philips) McCormack; and was the loving husband of Kimberly Ann (Ostrowsky) McCormack; father of Brock Grayson McCormack; and brother of Karen McCormack, Jessica Baughman, and Dan McCormack. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. George was a Physical Education teacher and head wrestling coach in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District for the past 19 years. A 1985 graduate of Dallastown Area High School, George then went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990, where he wrestled and obtained Bachelors and Masters degrees in Physical Education. He had a passion for teaching and enjoyed coaching his athletes. He was a huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams and loved taking his son to games. George was also a devoted fan of the University of Michigan, his father's alma mater, and loved spending summers with his family at the beach in Ocean City, N.J. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on George's birthday, Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 4 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, 140 N. Beaver St., York. Please feel free to dress casually, celebrating your favorite sports team. Visitation will follow the service at the Rainbow Grill at the Valencia Ballroom, 142 N. George St., York. In lieu of flowers, contributions for his son, Brock McCormack's education, can be sent to Kimberly McCormack, c/o Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
