DALLASTOWN Jack E. Shorter, 53, entered into rest Monday May 6, 2013, at Manor Care South. A viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Starr officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Mr. Shorter was born December 30, 1959, in York, a son of the late Walter E. and Leona Mae (Stuck) Shorter. He attended activities at Bell Socialization Services and was a Special Olympics participant. Jack is survived by his sisters, Carla Becker and husband Gary, Judy Seitz and husband Larry, Sandy Fake and husband Gene, and Penny Ness and husband Erv; nieces and nephews, Steven Becker, Michael Becker, Amy Tawney, Zane Fake, Elliot Ness, and Jennifer Strayer; and great-nieces and nephews. A special thank you to some of the people who played an important part in Jack's life - the staff at Bell Socialization, the staff at Manor Care South, Jack's doctors- Dr. Dobish and Dr. Schwartzkopf, Shirley Strayer and to Mom and Dad Zart and their children.
