YORK James R. "Ron" Grove, 65, of West Manchester Township, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home. He was the husband of Rebecca A. "Becky" (Craul) Grove, with whom he had celebrated 44 years of marriage. Born June 2, 1948, in Baltimore, Md., son of Chauncey B. Grove, Jr. of York and the late Helen M. (Arney) Grove, he was a construction laborer with Laborers International Union Of North America Local #1180 (Harrisburg). He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons, Kevin R. Grove and wife, Cyndie of Dover and Timothy R. Grove of York; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Toby, Alianna, Riley, Ethan, Emmarae, Ashton and Leilani; and two brothers, Robert S. Grove of Moss Bluff, LA and William Dale Grove of Manchester. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Workinger Semmel Funeral Homes and Cremation, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Full military rites will be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
