YORK Joseph C. Feltenberger, 87, of Springettsbury Township, died Thursday, August 7, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Romaine M. (Plowman) Feltenberger. Joseph and Romaine would have observed their 66th wedding anniversary on August 28th. Joseph was born in Saginaw (York County) on January 18, 1927, the son of the late Carl and Sarah (Mohr) Feltenberger. He retired after 36 years from Precision Components and its predecessor, S. Morgan Smith Company as an Electrician and Maintenance Supervisor. Joe was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a very active member of North Hills Bible Church and a William Penn Senior High School graduate. Joe also attended Penn State York. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Bullock of York, Ruth Golden of Hellam; a son, Joseph M. Feltenberger and wife Nikki of Holly Springs, N.C.; six grandsons; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Almoney, formerly of New Oxford. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 at North Hills Bible Church, 1951 North Hills Road, York, with his pastor, the Rev. David E. Moss officiating. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. A viewing will be Friday 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
