Karen Shultz Obituary

YORK Karen D. Shultz, 57, entered into rest on Friday evening at York Hospital. She was the wife of Donald L. Shultz ll, they had been married for 33 years. Karen was born February 2, 1956, in Broomall, the daughter of the late Brian N. and Laura (Smithers) Donovan. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and the PSEA. Karen worked for the Stony Brook Elementary School as a Title One Assistant. Karen loved her family and trips to the beach. She also enjoyed antiquing, meeting new people and touching the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family. A visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 noon Wednesday with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12 noon at St. Joseph Church, 2935 Kingston Rd., with the Rev. Louis Petruha OFM Cap officiating. A time of fellowship will follow the Mass in the church's meeting room. Burial will be private in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Including her husband Donald, Karen is also survived by two daughters, Alison L. Shearer and husband, Shane of York, Megan A. Shultz and fiance, Brandon Nase of York; five siblings, Eileen Briddell and husband, Phil of York, Ann Bergdoll and husband, Jon of Railroad, Nancy Boeckel of York and, Jackie Donovan and companion, Sue of Cherry Hill, N.J., and James Donovan and companion Mary Ellen of Orwigsburg.
