YORK Kenneth W. Hueter, 93, died Friday, December 6, 2013, at his daughter's home. He was the husband of the late Bertha Almy Hueter. Born in York on July 2, 1920, Ken was the son of the late Walter A. and Grace (Fife) Hueter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired following 23 years of service with ACCO. Ken was a life member of the Girard Athletic Assoc. and 12th Ward Democratic Club. He was also a member of American Legion Post #0606, Fort Louden. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Avenue, with the Rev. S. Philip Covert, retired U.M. pastor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mr. Hueter is survived by two children, Robert E. Hueter and wife Pat, and Kayann Runkle and husband Paul, all of York; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and a nephew.
