WRIGHTSVILLE Larry C. Anderson, 80, died August 1, 2014, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center following a courageous three-year battle with cancer. He was the husband of Janice G. (Kronenwetter) Anderson. Together they were married for almost 60 years. Born in Warren on April 9, 1934, he was the son of the late Ernest and Camilla (Yeagle) Anderson. He was an engineer for Armstrong World Industries, and was a graduate of Penn State -York. Larry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church in Columbia, where he served as an usher and was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Dutchland Polkateers Club, the Syncopation Ballroom Dance Club and the USBDA Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, George Kronenwetter and his wife Vickie of Columbia, Glenn Anderson and his wife Luda of York, Duane Anderson and his wife Karen of Hampstead, Md., Curtis Anderson and his wife Bessie of Wrightsville; a daughter, Lynne Anderson of Wrightsville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dennis Anderson and his wife Ada of Oil City. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, with the Rev. Mark M. Speitel officiating. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc., 700 Hellam St., Wrightsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, PA 17512; or to the , 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
