EAST BERLIN R. Grant Rhodes, 75, died Thursday, February 7, 2013, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret E. "Peg" (Corcoran) Rhodes. Grant was born April 5, 1937, in Wilkes Barre, the son of the late Robert H. and Otelia V. (Greitymer) Rhodes. Grant retired as a representative from United Food and Commercial Workers' Union Local 1776. He was a life member of the Elks, and a member of the American Legion in Shiloh and Dillsburg, and the Loyal Order of Moose in Hanover. In addition to his wife Peg, Grant is survived by three daughters, Gay Crouse and her husband, Steve of Owings, MD., Terri Jones and her husband, Danny of New Windsor, Md., and Penny Gamble and her husband Chuck of West River, Md.; a son, Stanley Chein and his wife Ashley of York; and five grandchildren; Holly, Garrett, Austin, Jason and Leo. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty L. McGill. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
