Eisenberger COLUMBIA Raymond R. Eisenberger, 89, died peacefully, Sunday, May 5, 2013, at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia. Born in Klinesville, he was the son of the late Raymond R., Sr. and Emma Jane Adams Eisenberger. Ray was the loving husband of Patricia A. Gaus Eisenberger; they were married November 8, 1947. He worked as an accounting clerk for the Marietta Army Depot and later for the New Cumberland Army Depot, until his retirement in 1979. After his retirement he went on to work for the Weis Markets Grocery Store in Columbia. Ray was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in London with the Army's 6811 Signal Detachment. He attended St. Peter Catholic Church in Columbia. Ray was a member of the VFW, Columbia and the American Legion, Red Lion. He enjoyed bowling, and was a member of the former senior league at the former Columbia Bowling Alley. Ray was an avid bike rider; he also enjoyed gardening, going to Stone Harbor, N.J., throwing horseshoes, walking, traveling with his wife, and watching Phillies baseball games. In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his children, Doris A. Eisenberger of Shiremanstown; Jane M. wife of Kevin N. Quinn of New Freedom; Steven P. husband of Susan D. Place Eisenberger of Hellam, and his four grandchildren: Sean J. Quinn, Brian P. Quinn, Hannah K. Eisenberger, and Luke S. Eisenberger. He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Eisenberger. Mass of the Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Raymond on Friday from St. Peter Catholic Church, 121 S. Second St., Columbia, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Dominic DiBiccaro as Celebrant. Rite of Interment and Committal will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. A viewing for Raymond will be held on Thursday from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia from 6-8pm (Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m). There will be no viewing on Friday before Mass. Please omit flowers.
