YORK Richard H. Henry, 90, died at 7:50 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2013, at Elmcroft of Dillsburg. He was the husband of Antonia L. Henry and the late Doris R. (McGuire) Henry. Born August 28, 1923, in York, a son of the late Richard H. Henry and the late Emma (Wellensek) Henry Myers, he was a graduate of William Penn High School, and then served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII, including the Pacific Theater of Operations. He worked for the Department of the Navy, and was a member of the VFW as well as the American Legion. In addition to his second wife, Mr. Henry is survived by two daughters, Zoranne R. Moody of Dover, Del., and Liana L. Eberly and her husband, Joseph of Dillsburg; five grandchildren, Buffy Gerald and her husband, Terry, Charles Eberly and his wife, Angela, William Eberly and his wife, Michelle, Francisco Rodriguez, and Sasha Harmon; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Emma Hathaway, Margaret Einsig, Erma Winkel, and Harriett Hombach. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Ritter; and two brothers, George and John Henry. A service to celebrate Mr. Henry's life will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 2150 Carlisle Road, Shiloh, with Keith Searfoss, Chaplain of Grane Hospice, officiating. Military rites ill be presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard immediately following the service at the funeral home.
