YORK Robert E. "Bob" Crumrine, 93, died on Friday, January 3, 2014 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Ferne F. (Hoover) Crumrine. Together they celebrated 72 years of marriage. Born in York on July 27, 1920, he was the son of the late Melvin I. and Virgie (Miller) Crumrine. Bob served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked in stores accounting and engineering for Met-Ed for over 40 years. Bob graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1937. He enjoyed music, sports, traveling, and wintering in Bradenton, Fla. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by a daughter, Barbara Boyer and her husband, Michael of East Prospect; a son, Mark Crumrine and his wife, Diane of York; a brother, Edward Crumrine and his wife, Doris of York; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday January 8, 2014, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, at 1 p.m. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery entrance at 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers. contributions may be made to
