YORK Ronald Burnell Paules, 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed into the presence of the Lord at his home in Loganville on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 1 p.m. after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. Born July 16, 1935 in York, he was the son of the late Burnell & Mildred Paules. He married the love of his life Shelbie (Douglas) Paules in 1957. In addition to Shelbie, he is survived by their three children, Sherrie Pettit (Steve) of Lynchburg, Va., Judy Stein (Brad) of York and Tim Paules (Sue) of York. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Joanne Conley (Leonard) of Felton. Ron lived life intensely and fully. He was an energetic and devoted family man. Although his greatest joy was his family, he was also an avid traveler, sportsman, gardener, and an enthusiast collector of model trains and '59 Cadillacs. Until the final year of his life, he made annual snowmobiling trips to Canada, as well as ATV trail-riding expeditions in the summers with family. Ron's life work was in the Tool and Die business. He was the founder of Ronal Tool Co., and later Ron B. Paules Company, now South York Tool, owned by his son and nephew. He attended Living Word Community Church and was committed to supporting Christian ministries throughout his life. His legacy is inspiring to all who survive him. A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at New Fairview Church of the Brethren at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 4 with his son-in-law, Pastor Steven Pettit, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 58 Mt. Zion Rd., York 17402 or Big World Project, rescuing children around the world, 104 B Tradewynd Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24502.

My sympathy to a beautiful family. What a great thing it would be if all families would share the love for each other and the love for our Lord as your family does. Your family has always been a wonderful role model for our community. Thank you for that.
In His Love, Karen (Kearns) Ruth
