YORK Sandra Ruth (Helfrich) Reed, 50, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of David A. Reed of York. Mr. and Mrs. Reed celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on September 1, 2012. Born May 4, 1962, in York, she was the daughter of Marilyn (Kilbride) Helfrich DiCola of York and the late Jack R. Helfrich. Sandra was an IT Senior Analyst for Dentsply International. She was a 1980 graduate of York Suburban High School and a graduate of Penn State University. Sandra was a member of Eastside Church and Ministries. In addition to her mother and husband, Sandra is survived by three daughters, Katie and her husband, Ted King, Nicole and her husband, Jose Torres, and Kelsey Reed all of York; six grandchildren, Cole, Ava, Adaleigh, Jose Jr., Harmoni, and Noah; and a sister, Cyndi and her husband, Sean McKenna of York. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Helfrich Hoffman. Sandra's true passion was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Most recently she enjoyed renovating her dream home to make it a special place for family and friends to come together. She loved the beach and looked forward to the families' annual vacations. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Church and Ministries, 3430 Eastern Blvd., York, with Pastor Donald R. Belch officiating. Family will receive relatives and friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.
