WELLSVILLE Thomas L. Ball, Jr., 65, went home to be with the Lord on March 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 3, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Margaret Bunch Ball. Tom graduated from Hampton High School, Hampton, Va. and Hyles Anderson College, Hammond, Ind., with honors. He was a self-employed Computer Consultant. Mr. Ball served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Italy. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, Dover. Tom was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, and spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Beverly; daughter, Christine White of Dillsburg; sons, Daniel L. (Lori) Ball of Mechanicsburg, and Matthew L. Ball of Wellsville; sister, Peggy (Jack) Lewis of Greencove Springs, Fla.; brother, Michael (Emily) Ball of Jamestown, Tenn.; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5005 Carlisle Road, Dover, PA. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Inurnment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas L. Ball Jr. family, to help with expenses, at Auer Cremation Services of Pennsylvania, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
