YORK Dr. Warren H. Wetzler, 91, entered into rest Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Manor Care Dallastown. He was the husband of the late Lois (Baschnagel) Wetzler. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Salem U.C.C., 24 Franklin St., Jacobus, with the Rev. Kevin Becker officiating. A light luncheon will be served at the church following the service. Dr. Wetzler had willed his body to Humanity Gifts Registry. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, is assisting the family. Dr. Wetzler was born November 4, 1922, in Chatham, Pa., a son of the late D. Galen and Mary (Seymour) Wetzler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Wetzler. He retired as a Math Professor at York College of PA following 37 years of service. He was a member of Salem U.C.C. in Jacobus where he led an adult discussion group for many years. He was a 1940 graduate of Unionville High School in Chester County. He earned his B.A. at West Chester University, a Masters degree at Penn State University, and a Ph.D. at Union Graduate School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of the York Table Tennis Club, the USTTA, the High Flyers of York, and the Mason-Dixon Sports Flyers. Dr. Wetzler is survived by his children, John M. Wetzler and Mary L.Moore; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
