His love of country is proven over and over by his 25 years of service in the military forces; a Marine ALWAYS serving several tours overseas to include three tours in Vietnam with his enlistment ending as a Warrant Officer II in the U.S. Army where he served as the Training Officer, receiving the Meritorious Service Medal in March, 1993. This was the second time he received the Meritorious Service Medal, having previously received it while a Marine in July, 1986. During his career he earned numerous medals and campaign ribbons. He was most proud of his Expert Marksmanship Badge in both rifle and pistol. He was the embodiment of the Marine Corps motto "Semper Fi." His main goal in life always being FAMILY FIRST!!!!
