DOVER Angela Grace Pifer, 62, was called Home by our Lord and Savior, whom she loved deeply, on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Catherine Shock and Joseph Winston Shock, Jr.; infant twin siblings, Frances Eileen Shock and Mary Roberta Shock; a brother, Charles Winston Shock, Sr.; and a son, Richard L. Pifer, Jr. Angela was born on May 30, 1951, in Baltimore, Md. She was proud to be a Christian and was of a witty mind and loving heart. She was an avid reader, loved trips to the mountains, fishing, and shared a passion for animals with her husband. She was employed by Dentsply International for 10 years and treasured each associate who created such an awesome workplace. She was a member of the Liberty Social Club and West Poplar Street Church of God. She cherished her beloved church family. Angela leaves to cherish her memory her best friend and love of her life, husband Richard L. Pifer, Sr.; her children, Derrel D. Wester, Jr. of York, Mrs. Laura Wenstrom and family of Mississippi, Mrs. Georgeanna Montalto and family of Mississippi, Russel Pifer and family of York, Mrs. Kimberly Hake and family of Felton, Rick Pifer and family of York, and Mrs. Kathryn Jackson and family of Glen Rock; her sister, Mrs. Sharon Hollingshead of Bluefield, Va.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at West Poplar Street Church of God, 919 W. Poplar St., York, with the Rev. Lloyd Noaker, Jr. officiating. KefferFH.com
