YORK Anna Mae (Jacobs) Emig, 88, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2013, at 3:20 p.m. at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Wallace M. Emig, Jr. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Cremation will follow with a graveside service to be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013, at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A procession will form at 2:15 p.m. at the main entrance to the cemetery. Mrs. Emig, a homemaker, was born November 24, 1924 in York, the daughter of the late Theodore R. and Minnie (Ellse) Jacobs. She is survived by a son, Wallace M. Emig III; a daughter, Elizabeth M. Cuffaro and husband Anthony of Dover; three grandchildren, Gina M. Spangler and husband Jeffrey A., Jamie A. Emig, and William Cuffaro and wife Nichole; seven great-grandchildren, Caroline and Derek Spangler, Justin and Alexis Emig, Reese Anthony and Jack Cuffaro. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Stella (Giuffrida) Emig and two sisters, Helen and Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 50 E. King St., York, PA 17401. She was surrounded by the ones she loved and the ones that loved her at the time of her death. Her first love was spending time with her family. She was a kind and gentle person who never had an ill word to say about anyone, no matter the circumstances. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. www.workinger-semmel.com
