YORK Arthur T. Hill, 85, entered into rest on Monday afternoon, November 19, 2012, at Memorial Hospital. He was married for 61 years to Anne Marie (Nilon) Hill, who passed away six days earlier. He was born August 13, 1927, in New York, N.Y., the son of the late Arthur P. and Helen G. (Shea) Hill. He was a WWII era U.S. Marine Corps veteran who worked for decades as a mechanical engineer for various manufacturers. He loved chess, math puzzles, racquetball, and being outdoors. His devotion to his family never wavered and he spent the last eight years caring for his ailing wife around the clock. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in York. The services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, is assisting with arrangements. He is survived by four children, Arthur S. Hill of Milan, N.Y., Mary Anne Nimon of York, Tim Hill of San Diego, Calif., and Michael Hill of Altamont, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren.
