LANCASTER Bruce B. Granruth entered into rest on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at 11:42 a.m. at Lancaster General Hospital at the age of 54. He was born in Baltimore, Md. on December 5, 1958, the son of the late Kenneth W., Sr. and Annette V. (Jenkins) Granruth. Bruce worked in the maintenance department at Manor Care-Lancaster for five years. He is survived by his fiancee, Maddelena Henderson of Lancaster and her four sons; two brothers, Kenneth W. Granruth, Jr. and wife Deb of Harford County, Md., and Robert W. Granruth and wife Revonda of Hanover; a sister, Diane L. Henning of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by a brother, Roger Granruth and a sister, Joyce Granruth. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. There will be a visitation Monday, December 9 from 6 to7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Memorial Service of Honor and Praise for Bruce will begin at 7 p.m. The Rev. David D. Tietje, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, Red Lion, will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Bruce enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and camping. He loved his family and sacrificed his entire adult life to care for his mother and father. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
