Holtzman PORT ORCHARD, WA Cassidy Ann Holtzman was born August 10, 1997, in York, and passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, after being struck by a car while walking to her bus stop on October 26. She fought for six days before becoming Angel Cassidy. She was currently residing in Port Orchard, Wash., because her father is stationed there in the Navy. Cassidy attended York Township Elementary School from 2003 to 2006. Cassidy is survived by her loving parents, Donald and Rachel (Woodring) Holtzman, a brother, Dane Holtzman, and a sister, Carly Holtzman, all of Port Orchard; her grandmother, Carolyn Woodring of York; and a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many loving and wonderful friends in Port Orchard. Cassidy was in 10th grade at South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard. She loved photography, and collecting pigs and bacon items. She was well known for her quirky sense of humor and wisdom. She stood up against bullies and was always a true friend. Cassidy did a lot of volunteer work for the local library in Manchester, Wash., and loved to read. She wanted to become a crime scene photographer. She loved dogs - especially her two dogs, Chickey and Moose. Moose was rescued from Mastiff Rescue of Oregon where donations may be sent in Cassidy's name, 1200 NE 5th St., McMinnville, OR 97128 A service to celebrate Cassidy's life will be held on Saturday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Dallastown, where she belonged and was baptized in 2005. Please wear orange or pink to her service to honor her. Tuell-McKee Funeral Home, Tacoma Wash., was in charge of arrangements.
